image-alt
Images must have alternate text
Why it matters
Screen reader users can't see an image's content, so without alt text a meaningful image is announced as just "image" with no information at all, or a decorative one clutters navigation with noise.
How to fix it
Give every meaningful <img> a concise alt attribute describing its content or purpose. Purely decorative images should use an empty alt="" so screen readers skip them entirely, rather than omitting the attribute.
Example
<img src="team-photo.jpg" alt="Our five-person support team at the Lagos office" />
<img src="divider.svg" alt="" />
